Introducing the Landscape of Namwon, a stunning candlestick design created by the talented designer Namgwon Lyu. Inspired by the landscape of Namwon, a small town in South Korea, this design seamlessly blends traditional Korean craftsmanship with contemporary aesthetics. The Landscape of Namwon candlestick series is crafted using traditional Korean paints, including lacquer, wood, and brass. Each piece is meticulously handcrafted, showcasing the artist's pursuit of perfection. The use of ginkgo and ash wood, along with the brass candlestick holder, creates a harmonious unity of different materials and techniques.

One of the standout features of the Landscape of Namwon candlestick is its versatility. The wooden candle holder can be freely attached to the brass base, allowing users to customize the design according to their preferences. The heavy feet ensure stability, making it easy to place a candle on the candlestick.

Designed with both aesthetics and functionality in mind, the Landscape of Namwon candlestick series offers a range of sizes and colors to suit different spaces and moods. The ott (candle holder) comes in various dimensions, including 300 x 95 x 435(h)mm, 210 x 95 x 290(h)mm, 210 x 95 x 395(h)mm, and 210 x 95 x 398(h)mm. The ottchil finishes are available in beige, purple, navy, pink, blue, orange, red, black, and green.

Started in 2017 in Seoul and Namwon, this project has been a labor of love for Namgwon Lyu. The city of Namwon, known as a Mecca for traditional crafts in Korea, provided the perfect backdrop for the creation of this unique candlestick design. Through extensive research and experimentation, the designer overcame various challenges to bring this design to life.

The Landscape of Namwon candlestick design has received recognition in the design industry. It was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category in 2019.
